NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION and    SCHEDULE - BEGINNING OF SCHOOL – 2017-2018

             

REGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS IN THE RHEA COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM

 

Students who did not attend school in the Rhea County School System during the School Year 2016-2017, and students who will be changing schools in the Rhea County School System during School Year 2017-2018, can register early by going to their respective school on the following dates:

 

Frazier Elementary School:           July 24-28 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

Graysville Elementary School:      July 24-28 from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Rhea Central Elementary:             July 24-28 from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Rhea Middle School:                       July 24-28 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

Spring City Elementary:                 July 24-28 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

Spring City Middle School:             July 24-28 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

 

Rhea County High School: Call Rhea County High at 285-6833 to make an appointment to register — or email the registrar, Susan Jones at joness@rheacounty.org to make an appointment to register. If you have questions for your student’s counselor, you can email Counselors at:

              Freshmen – Ann Barnett barnetta@rheacounty.org

Excluded from the early registration are:

ü  Rising ninth graders who registered at Rhea County High School this spring,

ü  Rising sixth graders for Rhea Middle and Spring City Middle who registered in the spring, and

ü  Kindergarten students who registered in the spring.

 

Registration requirements for new students previously enrolled in another school system last year are:

2016-2017 Report Card; name, address and phone number of last school attended; immunization records; social security number, and proof of residence (most recent utility bill with correct address-not P.O. box). Students who will be entering school for the first time must bring their birth certificate or hospital record; immunization and medical record (green form); social security number and proof of residence. Kindergarten students must be five years old on or before August 15, 2017.

 

OTHER INFORMATION: Wednesday, August 2, 2017 will be half day for students. No bus transportation will be provided on August 2 at any school.

Please Note that August 2, 2017 at Rhea Co. High will be for Ninth grade (9th) students ONLY and Sixth (6th) grade students ONLY at Rhea Middle and Spring City Middle Schools.

 

ALL STUDENTS REPORT ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 4, 2017 – Buses will provide transportation beginning August 4.
