The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. Tennessee requires students take the ACT before they graduate. ACT scores are also used to determine senior math placement, dual enrollment eligibility, and advanced placement eligibility.
Seniors will take the ACT for free at RCHS in their fall semester. Juniors will take the ACT for free at RCHS in their spring semester. Juniors and seniors are eligible to take up to four national tests for free each year by getting a waiver from Ms. Boothe in the Counseling Office. Students will create accounts at myact.org and select their test site. The waiver will cover the cost of the test prep that ACT offers as well. Please make sure that you mark Rhea County High School in Evensville as your school. Several students enter Dayton and we do not get the scores.
There are several resources to help students prepare for the ACT. There are some links below that you can check out or you can google ACT test prep.
