Engineering Class Visits Vogel School of Engineering

Rhea County Students at Bryan College

The Engineering classes at Rhea County High School were able to visit Bryan College's Vogel School of Engineering on the 16th of September.  They were invited by Dr. Lyle Smith, Dean of the Vogel School of Engineering, to visit the campus of Bryan College and tour the engineering labs and classrooms.  The students sat in on a lecture given by Dr. Reagan Kinser, and he presented to the students his experiences working as a mechanical engineering in the automotive and oil industry.  They were then given a tour of the engineering labs and classrooms as well as the maker-space lab where they got to see the CNC mill.  After the tour, the students participated in a campus-wide scavenger hunt.  They had to go to different buildings on campus and take pictures of various items and report back to give facts about the various buildings.  The winning team received a Bryan College t-shirt.  The winning team consisted of Kaitlyn Neal, Anthony Galvez, Garret Ramsey, and Jason Downs.
